Over the last decade, sales of vitamins, minerals, and nutritional and herbal supplements have surged. Globally, the market is now valued at $82 billion, where sales increased by approximately $23 billion between 2007 and 2013. Spurred by aging populations and heightened interest in preventative health, sales of of all health product categories will grow extensively, both globally and in Europe. Manufacturers will need to closely watch regulatory shifts and adjust accordingly in order to avoid consumer backlash. Yet taking on these challenges is well worth it.
